Broward County Government Complex.

A Subway sandwich shop fires several rounds of ammunition and leaves several bullets lodged in the ceiling of the building as it is shattered and a giant wall is blown out.

It was one of seven cases of alleged reckless firing of handguns on the government complex.

“We obviously have a very large amount of debris on the floor that would make it difficult to seal off the area if necessary,” said Broward County Sheriff’s spokeswoman Veda Coleman-Wright.

Not only does the building have holes in the ceiling where bullets were released, wires are scattered around where it seems they may have been lit up for shooting practice.

“These used up time to practice or clear the bullets. A lot of the bullets that were fired had obviously been thrown into the ceiling or against the wall,” she said.

Months of training sessions were shot down, fire department officials say. Now, they’re investigating the possibility of negligence and if anyone could be held accountable.
